On this 30x42cm print, the left edge has a barely perceptible mark. A very slightly creased corner, nothing more. Placed under glass, the white margin disappears under the frame, and the mark with it.

This imperfect Céret poster belongs to our "imperfects" section: a flaw too subtle to warrant discarding, but enough for a reduced price. The print, paper, and colors have lost none of their original quality; only this corner bears a memory of handling.

I drew "Le Pont du Diable" one late April morning, when the purple wisteria cascaded over the old stones and white flowers overflowed from the branches above the arches. A swallow darted through the blue, just above the slate roof. These are the kinds of details you don't invent; you either see them or you don't. Hand-drawn illustration in my workshop in Saint-Genis-des-Fontaines, printed in France, normally limited to 200 copies.
