Poster Collioure Royal Castle

This vintage poster of the Royal Castle of Collioure depicts a familiar silhouette from the Côte Vermeille. The fortress has watched over the bay since the 13th century. It holds memories of the Kings of Majorca, the warm stones of the Catalan port, and the passages of the sea wind.

Once a summer residence, then a stronghold modified by Vauban, the Royal Castle of Collioure remains a profound landmark in the landscape. Classified as a Historic Monument, it overlooks the Faubourg beach, the port, and the colorful facades of the village. Thus, this Collioure poster brings a piece of Catalan heritage into your home.

Light plays an essential role here. It glides over the ramparts, illuminates the sea, then recalls the brightness that inspired the Fauvist painters. We find the spirit of old travel posters, somewhere between a holiday souvenir, a wall decoration, and an indoor postcard.

Hand-drawn by Marie Troff, this illustration was created in her workshop in Saint-Genis-des-Fontaines, twenty minutes from Collioure. Each line maintains a connection with the place, its colors, its relief, and its Mediterranean atmosphere.

The poster is printed locally by an Imprim’Vert certified printer, on 170 g/m² matte coated paper. It is available in several formats, to find its place in a living room, an entrance hall, a bedroom, or an office. It is sold unframed and then shipped in a recycled cardboard tube.
