Céret Postcard Devil's Bridge

The Devil's Bridge in Céret in spring when the cherry trees are in blossom, when the purple wisteria overflows onto the paths and the Canigou is still white. It's one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Pyrénées-Orientales: the medieval bridge often disappears under the vegetation, and that's precisely what makes it beautiful.

I wanted to show this very short moment of the year, just a few weeks, when the entire Tech valley explodes with color before summer. The soft greens of the ash trees, the pink of the cherry trees, the mauve of the jacarandas, and behind the stone arches, the snow-capped peak of the Canigou. A card that smells of pine resin and wet grass.

This is the postcard to send to someone who knows Céret, the cherry capital, the city of Picasso, the Thursday morning market. The one that reminds us that the Pyrénées-Orientales is not just about the coast. Framed in 10×15 or 15×10 format, it fits into a collection of Catalan cards alongside boats, the Canigou or Collioure, the spring greens contrasting well with the Mediterranean blues of the other cards.

Hand-drawn by Marie Troff in her workshop in Saint-Genis-des-Fontaines, an hour from Céret. Printed in France on 350g/m² matte coated art paper by an Imprim'Vert certified printer in Elne. Classic 10×15 cm format, white back with message and stamp space. Sold individually.
