El Canigó watches from afar, a familiar massif, the sacred mountain of the Catalans and a cherished landmark on clear days. This iconic peak of the Pyrenees rises above Roussillon at more than 9,134 ft. Marie drew Canigou from her studio in Saint-Genis, inspired by its blue-tinged lines, its changing light and its calm presence above the Roussillon plain.
