Le Château Royal de Collioure seen from the water: ochre stone ramparts plunging straight into the Mediterranean, towers standing out against the blue sky, and the bow of a moored Catalan boat in the corner. This is the natural view from the Quai de l’Amirauté or from a boat, the one that reveals the full scale of the fortress. Once a residence of the Kings of Majorca, later remodelled by Vauban in the 17th century and listed as a Historic Monument, the château is Collioure’s most striking architectural landmark, the one you look for as soon as you arrive.

I chose a tight, almost architectural composition to convey the weight and verticality of the fortress within the small bookmark format. The tassel complements the warm tones of the stone and the golden glow of the sunlit ramparts.

This is the most historic Collioure bookmark, for a friend passionate about medieval history, a Catalonia enthusiast, or someone who visited the castle and wants to keep something that reflects it. To combine with the Collioure Bell Tower bookmark and the Collioure Cortina Windmill bookmark to offer the three emblematic monuments of the village in one go.

How I hand-draw each poster in the Pyrénées-Orientales

Foliove is my daily work. I create each illustration by hand, from my studio nestled in the Pyrénées-Orientales. Wacom, stylus, patience. No digital shortcuts, no images found anywhere other than in my souvenir photos, no effects applied with a click. Each line is consciously drawn, starting from a blank screen.

Printing is done nearby, at an Imprim'Vert certified printer in Elne. This is no coincidence: I can check the colors in person, adjust if necessary, and discuss directly with the team. They prioritize solvent-free inks and certified paper. It's a relationship, not just an order.

My subjects are born from my travels. A shade of the sky, a detail of a facade, a season frozen in an instant. I transpose them into drawings once I return, often long afterward. It's my way of preserving these moments and offering them to those, like you, who look at them.
